A Note About Recess:

Supervisors will be on playground supervision at 8:20 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 2:15 p.m.  They can be identified by their bright orange vests. They also have two-way communication into the building using walkie-talkies when necessary. PLEASE NOTE – CHILDREN SHOULD BE ARRIVING AT SCHOOL WHEN SUPERVISION BEGINS – NOT EARLIER THAN 8:20.  Three supervisors are out on duty for recess supervision. 

Snack Times:

Before morning and afternoon recess, students are encouraged to eat a nutritious snack from their lunches. This is to ensure that they have some “fuel” in their bodies.  This snack is eaten inside to eliminate garbage on the playground as well as promote safety because the children are not eating food when they are playing on the equipment.

Lunches:

Students eat lunch in their classrooms from 12:00 to 12:15. Please do not send items in student’s lunches that need to be heated up. Teachers make the individual decision to monitor microwaves within their classrooms. Therefore, some classrooms have microwaves and others do not. Students may not go to other classrooms to heat their food as this is a safety concern. Thank you for your cooperation.
